Big win for Ezekiel Elliott -- who was just granted a preliminary injunction from a federal judge in Texas ... which blocks the NFL from imposing his 6-game suspension ... at least for now. What does it mean -- Zeke will likely play the entire NFL season without missing a single game. The NFL Player's Association had filed the lawsuit on behalf of Elliott, claiming the Dallas Cowboys star did not get a fair hearing in front of the arbitrator in his appeal of the domestic violence punishment. The judge agreed ... saying there was a "cloud of fundamental unfairness" in the proceedings. The judge didn't think it was fair for Elliott to be punished with that cloud looming.
Kevin Durant's giant tattoo shout-out to Rick James isn't sitting well ... with Rick James' son. We got rapper/singer Taz James outside the Mondrian Hotel, and while he respects KD's homage ... Taz points out KD never made a call. As he put it, "You gotta get permission big boy!" Seems like he's mostly joking, but the not-so-funny part is Taz keeps referring to his friend, "Brandon" ... aka Lil B... and his curse.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar tells TMZ Sports it's "hard to say" if Colin Kaepernick is being blackballed by the NFL ... and says we'll just have to "wait and see" if he gets hired before the 2017 season. Kareem has been outspoken about the Kaepernick situation in the past -- he even wrote an article about Kaep's protests in The Washington Post. But he's not ready to declare the NFL anti-Kaep yet ... and when we saw him at the Joe Torre Safe at Home event in L.A., the NBA legend said we'd have to speak with someone "in management" to get a better idea. Well, we did that ... we talked to Denver Broncos exec John Elway who shot down the idea that Kaepernick's protest has anything to do with his current state of unemployment.
Kim Zolciak raged out on Kenya Moore because she thought Kenya said something about her son, who was horribly injured by a dog bite -- and it took several cast members to hold her back. Multiple 'RHOA' production sources tell us Kim went all Mama Bear while they were shooting over the weekend at a home in Atlanta. We're told Kenya and Kim were throwing shade as soon as they saw each other -- but when things got personal, it got out of hand. Kim made comments about Kenya's new marriage being fake ... and Kenya fired back that Kim had pimped out her daughter to get John Legend tickets. Everyone we spoke to agrees to that much, but here's where it gets messy. We're told Kim thinks Kenya said the Legend tix were for "your injured son." Others in the house say they never heard Kenya say the son part. Doesn't matter ... Kim was convinced and lost it ... rushing at Kenya, knocking over and breaking glasses on the way.
Tyron Woodley ain't convinced Jon Jones took steroids ... but if he did and has to sit out 4 YEARS, Tyron says Jon would still come back and DOMINATE. That's right -- Woodley told us Jones is such a boss, he could reclaim his belt even if he's benched through his prime. "Jon Jones is the only fighter on the roster that it wouldn't be over for him. He's 3 or 4 years ahead of the curb right now, for the (205 pound) division." "After Daniel Cormier, tell me one fighter who's gonna compete with Jon Jones." FYI, Dana White estimates Jones will get suspended for his test failure ... but JJ could serve less time (or no time) based on how his appeal goes.
Colin Kaepernick's plight in the NFL has seeped into the upper echelons of hip-hop ... 'cause Jay-Z dedicated 1 of his most racially charged songs to the QB during a live show. Jay was performing his new hit, "The Story of O.J.," Friday night in NYC, when he gave a shout out to Kaep and said the performance was for him ... and the late activist Dick Gregory, who died last month. He also said ... "I want to dedicate this song to anyone that was held back and you overcame whatever it was." Kaepernick is still without a job on an NFL team, and his perceived banishment (by some) from the NFL for refusing to stand for the National Anthem has been a divisive issue for many ... including Steph Curry, Dave Chappelle, Kid Rock and other celebs.
Katy Perry didn't need an Uber to get to Saturday night's Ed Sheeran concert in L.A. ... she got a lift from ex-BF Orlando Bloom. Looks like the break is over for the ex-couple who attended Sheeran's concert at the Staples Center ... the first time they've been spotted out since calling it quits in March after a year of dating. Katy said the breakup was amicable and she's been linked to other guys, namely Rob Pattinson with whom she had dinner with last week.
